Harold E. Burgin is a native of Kansas City, KS. He attended Lincoln Elementary which was located in the Argentine area. Northeast Junior provided his secondary education, and he graduated from Sumner High School in 1954.

He was employed by Santa Fe Railroad before retiring the first time. His second job was with District 500; he worked as a maintenance engineer for ATS, formerly known as AVTS. It was not very long thereafter that he began working for Mount Carmel.

Harold has been married to Gayle Burgin for over 50 years. They have 4 children, and a number of grand and great-grand children.
